My dear Maha,

I received  your letter yesterday. You wanted to know about the people, their habits, culture and the important  places of our country. Now I am giving you a short description of all these.

Bangladesh has too many people compared to her  area. Here  about 800 people live  per square kilometer. About 80 percent people live in the villages. Most of the people of our country are Muslims. Besides, there are  Hindus, Buddhists and Christians here.  The  hospitality of our people are world famous. Most of the people of our country wear lungis and  shirts. The people observe various festivals gorgeously like Pahela Baishake, Nabanna Utsab etc. It is a country of scenic beauty. The Sundarbans , the tea gardens of Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar sea-beach are the  important tourist spots of  our country.
